I did need to add a little salt and pepper to this stew to bring out the flavor. Overall, not bad! Thick and hearty as a stew should be. Flavor is very mild.
I purchased the 4 Pack and this was the first one we’ve tried. I wanted a quick, healthy meal for busy weeknights. I dry sautéed a half a block of tofu to add to this and had some leftover broccoli in the fridge and tossed that in too. We had it over leftover brown rice and it was a very complete meal. It would have been fine on its own but I had food to use up so why not? Both my husband and I loved it and we can’t wait to try the other stews in the bundle. Low sodium and delicious, just right.
I picked this up at Whole Foods for my toddler who recently decided he despises all vegetables. He absolutely loved it and kept asking for "more stew!" I'm so relieved to have found something full of veggies that he likes. I split the package with him and enjoyed it myself too. Also love that it's low in sodium- it's so flavorful that you really can't tell. Will definitely be buying again!
I'm not a fan of carrots, so this stew was the one I was least looking forward to when I bought the sampler pack. However, it turned out to be the one I liked the best. The taste was amazing and I didn't feel like I needed to add salt to it. (I know, I'm working on my salt addiction. Lol)
